Ā STORE UP THE WORD
Psalm 119:11 (KJV)...... Thy word have I hid in mine heart, That I might not sin against thee.
When you read this verse from the NIV version, it reads.
Psalms 119:11 (NIV)...... I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.
David is revealing to us the secret of not sinning against God that has worked for him. It is very important you read of the things that worked for others and how you can gain victory by applying the same secret.
So, the secret of David is to hide the word of God in his heart. Someone asked me some years back, 'How do I hide the word of God in my heart?' What does this mean? That word "hidden" as used by the NIV translation means "to store up the wordā. This is the process of pilling up the word in you.
And because you donāt know what the word is capable of doing, when you store up the word in you, or you pill it up in you. One thing it will surely do is, it will prevent you from sinning. This is one way men and women overcome sin in their lives.
So mightily grew the word that it will prevail in you.Ā
This is what the Bible teaches us. So, I have shared with you the secret of walking out of any sin in your life. Just keep storing up the word of God in you. And if while you are doing it you fall, just get up and keep doing it. Amen.
Prayer:
Thank you Lord for your word. It is my life and my source of escape from sin. I soak myself into it today and sin shall not have dominion over me again. Amen.
